In line with the objective of its Bylaw and in order to promote merito-democracy and transparency, TUNESS members have successfully completed their first General Assembly (GA) including the executive votes. The GA event, moderated by our fellow member Wady Haddaji, took place in May 17th, 2014 at the Courtyard/Mariott Hotel, New York City,  from 2pm to 6pm.

  • Voting and Counting

 

TUNESS previous Executive Committee presented the achievements and the financial terms of the association. The team explained also some of the challenges they faced and will face future management. The previous Executives extended their sincere acknowledgments to all their teams, and supporters.

 

TUNESS members acknowledged the continuous and unconditional support and contributions of Prof. Kamel Jedidi to the association by awarding him an Honorary Member status at TUNESS. Prof. Kamel Jedidi is John A. Howard Professor of Business - Marketing at Columbia University.

 

Attendants were encouraged to ask questions, provide feedback about the overall status of the association as well as the proposed amendment to the previous Bylaw. Important suggestions were provided to the successor Board.

 

During the GA, the 8 candidates for executive role were given an extra chance to reach out to the voters and present their credentials, vision and how that would benefit TUNESS. A Q & A session was provided.  

 

The Independent Candidacy Evaluator Committee (ICEC) moderated the Board election process and provided the following results. A Board composed of 7 Directors among 8 candidates has been elected.As a consequence the new elected TUNESS Board for 2014 - 2016 is composed of:
