Immediately before the flee of Ben Ali and the collapse of the RCD, in support of the revolution, several members of what it is TUNESS now prepared a protested for January 15 and January 22 in Union Square NY, and on Januray 17 in front of the United Nations building. Lifting the Tunisian flag, banners, and fliers, and chanting the national anthem was unmistakably a call for freedom, justice and democracy and a celebration for the re-birth of Tunisia.This event have brought scattered Tunisians together and united them like no other event in history of Tunisians.
